I spent four wonderful days golfing and sight seeing, including fisherman's wharf and Chinatown, with four buddies, two from high school days. Wow I keep hearing the term bucket list from many folks who knew I was going on this trip, and ok I guess thats accurate, but I call it get busy living or get busy dying, next up the LA Rams vs Tampa bay Sept 26th at so fi stadium, and then the best steakhouse in losangeles, and onto torre pines golf couse to wrap the second summer trip up, In addition a 40 year high school reunion as well as multiple college football games on the slate. Yes a busy summer and a treatment break, chemo ended a couple months ago and holding steady on no new Mets and PSA single digit down from. 247, Its interesting how my thoughts have decreased about my cancer woes, although after 36 holes in two days I definitely feel my age and realize six years of cancer, and numerous treatments have takin its toll. I am still ticking though. I highly recommend shifting your focus to other activities, its been invaluable for me. I hope all are doing well and keep you updated on my score of 59 at torre pines. Times two. Onward and upward.
Day 1, golfing pebble beach. Day 2 sp... - Advanced Prostate...
Day 1, golfing pebble beach. Day 2 spanish bay. Day 3 monterey bay aquarium, and giants stadium. No cancer treatment priceless.
I am also looking forward to a 15 day trip abroad on November. Yes discovery of new places and time with old friends tend to free the mind from never ending treatments. Enjoy yourself!
How cool is that! I too did that Pebble Beach trip 6 years ago with friends. Enjoy!
Haven't been on Pebble Beach for 53 yrs. Picture makes it as beautiful as ever. Enjoy life all you can. Happy to hear of your break in treatment with aPca pushed back into a dark hole.
Ahhhh a man after my own heart. I Did the pebble beach , Spanish Bay last year plus a friend got me into my bucket list to play Cypress. Loved Cypress, Spanish was a little too hard, and Actually pebble was the best. Non golfers can’t understand the joy of walking down those hallowed fairways of pebble that so many greats have played. Awesome. Glad you’re still living!!!
Schwah.
I’d need to move up to the front Tees on those tracks to break 100. Enjoy
Amen! and with that same sentiment for me this weekend........gas $50, supplies for dorm room $300, taking my daughter to her first year of college (on the coast where I will be visiting with my boogie board) PRICELESS.
Thanks for sharing, I have found doing things like this is very helpful with your outlook on life. My wife and I just got back from Alaska and we had a great time. Keep going and doing what you can. I am not a golfer, but I do enjoy doing other things.
I did that.....stayed 3 nites la palermo....play pacific grove if you have time....its the muni....65.00 and damn fun
My husband’s favorite course is pebble beach—This year he took his lifelong friend, who incidentally had exactly ZERO health conditions and looked about 20 years younger than his age.
Same friend, died suddenly, a few months ago, from a massive pulmonary embolism.
Life Is short, whether we believe it to be, or not.
