They pulled me back into City of Hope hospital with high Iron levels after a CAR-T discharge from hospital.
Treatment started working, lowering my PSA from 60 to 50, but high Ferritin (Iron) hit 6000 indicated t-cells could start attacking non-cancer places it shouldn't attack. Dr calmed it down with an IV10 of dexamethasone and another drug. Clinical Trial central almost recommended killing all the T-cells and pulling the plug on my COH trial. Glad they didnt do that. This is my only hope. I have no other options.
Blood counts still very low, and if the dont turn the corner soon, they will give me a pint of blood.
Urine test showed an infection so IV is running an antibiotic. Wife is waiting for me to get out of hospital again. She is waiting at a local hotel in Arcadia, CA.
Have a little less pain now. I think I will get a mild response when this treatment gets done working. I would compare the response similar to Lu177, but without the radiation and bone side effects. Wont get a full remission that will put me back on the dance floor, but I will get a small life extension from metastatic prostate cancer to bone, (hips, spine, and ribs). Every treatment helps, even if just a little at this point.
I appreciate the team of health unlocked warriors thinking about me.
