While I read her every day just realised that it’s been almost two years since I updated So almost 7 years since the metastatic diagnosis with a PSA in the 100’s , my husband is still pain free, still on Zoladex/Xtandi PSA .4

Life is still great

Sending love

Hi. Yes this is great to read. Most men who get 7 years seem to have a low presenting PSA and / or a low volume of mets. It is encouraging to read about a man who had high volumes of mets with a high PSA. Long may your husband continue to respond so well. Graham

Good news. Other than those treatments, to what do you credit his success?

I really couldn’t say. I guess we’re lucky that he’s never had any pain so is able to keep active, walking the dog everyday, cycling regularly. doing voluntary work for our local wildlife trust, gardening, painting. We have a very positive attitude, close family, a lot of love

I read a lot about diet, we try and eat healthily but enjoy a drink and have never cut out sugar, red meat or any of the other things that I read that we should.

The NHS, a great cancer clinic and oncologist who tells it as it is

We’re not religious but maybe someone is looking out for us 🙃

Nice…I too have been graced with developments since my wife’s cancer diagnosis. She’s come a long way in a few short months. I’m a heavy met burdened stage 4 APC survivor as well but it seemed so much more dire for her. I believe I helped her fend off the initial terror from my experiences, which I feel is as much a killer as the disease itself. As her recovery continues we have each other to remind us how frail our lives hang in the balance but not fearfully but rather hopefully. We persist from our faith in living as well as possible with whatever time we are accorded.
