After stopping Aberaterone for 6 weeks gone to enzalutemide, after 6 weeks blood test psa is <0.1, but side effects horrendous, tiredness lack of energy no appetite not interested in anything! Consultant today reduced dose to two tablets a day for two weeks, if no change after two weeks a holiday taking nothing. Anyone had similar experiences? Don

You may be better off alternating chemos and advanced hormonals.

docetaxel is fine if you haven't had it. Sometimes it can reverse advanced androgen resistance so that Xtandi works better afterwards.

Enzo 160 mg made me a complete invalid. Currently on 80 mg and have been for a couple of years. Tolerable at that dosage. I didn't even ask Drs, just did it after my wife and I discussed it and decided 3 yrs as a living being was better than 10 years as an invalid. Wish you luck with the reduced dosage.

Really sorry you have these effects. My husband had a similar response to enza. It totally wiped him out and there seemed to be some minor cognitive issues too. And a reduced dose didn't help unfortunately. It seems very variable as some tolerate this well for years. Not sure there is any way of knowing who will have adverse effects, I guess it just has to be tried. We had the option to moving to abiraterone as this had not been tried first. A better experience from the perspective of side effects so far. Still fatigued but nothing like on the enzalutamide. Wish you well.

Hope that regimen with Abi works well and long for him. When one day another advanced AR med is called for (perhaps after alternating with a chemo) he might try darolutamide which does not get into the brain. Could be justified due to high grade intolerable SEs from enzalutamide. Hope that is way down the road. Happy thanksgiving.

Thanks, and thanks for the thanksgiving good wishes, though being a Brit we don't celebrate! I do though have some very happy memories of my husband and I joining a celebration of thanksgiving in Sausalito (SF, CA) back in the late 1970's.
