I am on Firmagon Zytiga and prednisone. The prescription did not get refilled and i ran out of prednisone. I remember being warned to not stop taking it. I think it has been two days and I feel really awful. Feel freezing cold even though it is not cold and have hot flashes at the same time.

I hope this is just from not taking the prednisone and that the 12 year old stuff i found still works. I think I almost feel better already.

Also wondering how bad this crap can get. My hot flashes are somewhat under control but the other symptoms of castration seem to be getting worse. Today I had such muscle weakness that i had a hard time walking. Muscles did not cooperate. I hope this i just from the lack of prednisone.

Is retaining fluid in feet normal?

It will probably take weeks until your body reacts to the lack of prednisone. However, you have to take it with Abiraterone to avoid long-term effects.

i was only off it for two days at the most. found some 13 year old stuff that seems to work because i pill has me a lot less awful feeling. refill tomorrow.

Retaining fluid (edema) is from not getting enough prednisone.

You need to check the electrolytes and your blood pressure if you already have fluid retention. No taking prednisone with zytiga leads to fluid retention, edema, sodium retention, hypertension and potassium loss in the urine (hypokalemia). Your muscle weakness could be a symptom of hypokalemia. You need to consult and get the prednisone.
