That is a great PSA reading. What treatment is he on? Whatever it is it's doing a great job. Celebrate.

He is trending in the right direction (down).

The lower, the better, within certain limits.

The term 'nadir' is used to reference the lowest point in his treatment cycle(s).

In some cases, the term 'undetectable' is used to highlight how low a patient was able to go. These numbers typically approach zero (0.02, 0.08 for example).

That 'zero', may be the target, depending on the treatment.

Nevertheless, (HIS #) that is still VERY good news.

Hope the trend continues as he heals and gets stronger / feels better.

For illustrative purposes, my PSA is at 0.04 (and slowly rising) seeing as I'm 'off treatment' while taking an ADT holiday, which we hope will be permanent. My 'T' count is at the lowest end of normal, so I have a ways to go before I re-balance, with hpefully, no more PCa to deal with.

IF my PSA climbs over 2.0, then we will see that as a need to look at further treatment(s).

Until then, it is one day at a time, with guarded optimism.

Congratulations !

The lower the better. Good luck.

Just make sure the decimal is in the right place. 1.00 or .100

Down is good, Up is bad.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
