Depends on the meds. Some meds don't affect PSA.

I’m not familiar with this oral medication my dad was on zytiga and prednisone and that took a month for a low PSA then when that stopped working he was put on xtandi and in 2 weeks his PSA went low so just depends on the meds and how ur body responds

The more important thing to determine if a treatment is working is imaging.

As my doctor says: "We are treating the cancer, not the PSA."

PSA is an important indication, but you don't make treatment decisions based on only PSA.

That is probably something best asked by your doc. It's going to vary a lot depending on the circumstances.

In my personal limited experience in can vary a lot and do so in non-intuitive ways.

You can be undergoing a very effective treatment, and the psa can be rising as a result of that treatment.

It can have a mind of it's own for many many months before it stabilizes where it should. Maybe a year... depending.

Only your doc will have the experience and situational awareness to give you contextualy relevant advice on this question.

In my case, two weeks after starting Orgovyx my PSA had dropped from 3.90 to 1.41. Also, my testosterone had dropped to <7, meaning undetectable. I have another blood draw on June 1st so I'll see if the initial good and fast results are holding.

In my case my PSA dropped to <0.1 in a few weeks after treatment, (four times since 2012).
