In July this year my PSA was 380, I had severe spinal decompression T2-T4 and had never done the hormone blockers but had a history of going through radiation therapy twice and also some low dose chemo. I got spinal compressive surgery Aug. 1 and was started on lupron + enzalutamide (Xtandi).
Since then my PSA and been falling and this week is down to 0.3 ng/mL. I am also doing a lot of alternative medicine as a companion and want to go off hormone blockers and cycle if needed once i hit nadir.
What should I expect for a nadir? Is 0.1 a PSA I should be happy with or does it need to be lower to assume the cancer is diminished? I hold onto hope for my miracle.
