Does anyone know about Chlorine dioxide ?

Good morning

Viewing news and checking some of them in Spanish, I came across with this Chlorine dioxide medicine. This person Andreas Kalcker does a research in switzerland and in the webpage he shows how to prepare by yourself.

andreaskalcker.com/en/proto...

Wondering if anyone in the group knows about chemistry and the reaction between both chemicals ? Please, if anyone can watch the video and see if the mixing components are harmless to drink ? He mix NaCLO2(25%) + HCl (4%) in one recipient and takes the oxygen in gas and goes to water, he is kind of oxygenating the water with more molecules of oxygen and makes really high concentration of oxygen. He believes that drinking this water helps oxygenate the cell and mitochondria.

PS: Watching news in south america about COVID, poor places dont have access to regular medicine due to high prices in the medication and are using this to fight COVID. A lot of people are coming out saying that this helped them against COVID and went I was doing some research about Andreas Kalcker he mentioned that helps cancer too. Just wondering if its some veracity in his research .

happy 4th July everyone

He never says it's a cure, just helping with treatments and oxygenate the cells. Do you know if both chemicals that he mix is safe? I'm not a chemisttry guy so dunno if the process is harmless

It is not safe to drink a powerful oxidant. The internet is full of unsubstantiated claims for complementary treatments. People who believe them die sooner. You are very vulnerable to quacks right now.

Chlorine dioxide, a highly oxidized substance that can be used to bleach pulp or disinfect water in swimming pools, for example. There is no doubt that chlorine dioxide can kill bacteria and pathogens, but how is it possible that someone might think it is useful to drink?

Because of President Trump, some people believe that drinking bleach cures things.

I presume that "oxygenated water" in this case is H202 - hydrogen peroxide, a particularly powerful "reactive oxygen species", i.e., a chemical that oxidizes (attaches oxygen molecules) to other molecules, generally making them unusable for their normal function. It does have some medical uses as an antiseptic (though better and safer ones are available) and it has been touted by quite a few alternative medicine practitioners (they make the mistake of reading each other's Internet writings and repeating what they read, just assuming it's true) as an anti-cancer treatment. It is my understanding that, although there are many alternative medicine people promoting it, its use in cancer treatment is not supported by evidence and there is some evidence of its danger. See the Wikipedia article on it, especially the section on Safety:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydro...

Please read that section thoroughly.

Note that many of us take vitamin C because it is an "anti-oxidant", i.e., a chemical that is effective in defeating reactive oxygen species.

So, my recommendation is, don't use it. It's dangerous and it's very unlikely to help.

Hi Alan

I think is not H202 - hydrogen peroxide. I recomend to watch the video and if you have a chemical background please give me.your opinion of both reactive components and the result. The liquid result is yellowish and also China already have a patent for cancer

patents.google.com/patent/C...

I'm not saying all the patenta are true but I'm only doing my homework and asking chemical people that can see if the mix of both chemical are really harmless or what this guy's is saying it's true or not.

I apologize for my misunderstanding in thinking it was H2O2.

I'm not the right guy to give you an authoritative view of ClO2 (the main component of chlorine bleach.) There are some professional chemists in the group who might be able to help.

Looking up chlorine dioxide on the Wikipedia (a good, though not perfect, source of information) I found this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlor.... Under the subheading "Pseudomedicine" I found this:

-------

Pseudomedicine

See also: Miracle Mineral Supplement

Chlorine dioxide is fraudulently marketed as a magic cure for a range of diseases from brain cancer to AIDS. Enemas of chlorine dioxide are a supposed cure for childhood autism, resulting in complaints to the FDA reporting life-threatening reactions,[41] and even death.[42] Chlorine dioxide is relabelled to a variety of brand names including, but not limited to MMS, Miracle Mineral Solution and CD protocol.[43] There is no scientific basis for chlorine dioxide's medical properties and FDA has warned against its usage.[44][45]

-------

The citations in the text are mainly to stories of parents who have treated their children for autism with it. The results appear to be pretty nasty.

Do also read: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirac...

It's about the use of chlorine dioxide specifically for medical purposes. It's pretty scary. It looks to me like the inventors of the theory that this could help people were dangerously incompetent and dishonest. If I were you I'd stay away from it.

Sorry what is I E stand for.? Yes, it was andreas says, only more.O2. In the water and if you drink everyday can cause apoptosis to the cancer.cells. I checked on Amazon and yes, tons of people are giving 5 starts. I hear from andreas bc it was a conferences in Colombia with tons of doctors giving a spech about CDS and now they are using it again COVID.

Also that liquid oxígeno it has low concentrate of.O2. Andreas teach how todo it and you can have the máximum dosage doing it by yourself and is not hard. Only wanted to understand what he is saying it's true in regards of chemistry process and it's not bs

the 21st century equivalent of snake oil. See: verywellfit.com/super-oxyge.... There is a lot of evidence that this is a hoax and does not work. Theoretically and chemically you can inject your veins with hydrogen peroxide and release oxygen into the blood. That's may be chemistry, but it is not safe.

I did my graduate research on the effects of Chlorine Dioxide on G6-PD enzyme deficient populations. The base chemicals used to generate Chlorine Dioxide were so reactive...due to the hazards they isolated me in my own lab. The substance bubbled into water deteriorated in a short time....and it increased the potential for hemolytic anemia in some people withhpartyicular enzyme deficiencies. So...not a smart move to play with this substance. Unless you are Trump...then by all means go for it.

Hey Samdres!

I wouldn't suggest making your own drugs. Someone else on HU uses something different than what I use, Cell Food. Cell Food is a formula put together by Dr. Everett Storey.

A link:

Oxygen For Life :: Products :: Cellfood : Story

oxygenforlife.co.za/cellfoo...

A friend, the manager of my local Vitamin Shoppe told me that a Japanese tourist had come into the store and emptied the shelf of Cell Food. It is very popular in Japan.

For several years I did LIVE O2 training, a type of hyperbaric training. In a little over 20 minutes I would lose over a pound by sweating and I wouldn't cool down for at least anoter 10 minutes. I was once an athlete and a first responder for HAZMAT and Confined Space Rescue operations. I ended that part of my career as the chief of the team consisting of over 80 trained members and six specialty sub groups, such as logistics, planning, security, decon, equipment and so on. I mention this only because during LIVE O2 training one wears a pulse/ ox on a finger. A LifeFitness Cycle was used. I set the resistance at 8. A respirator type of face piece is worn with a tube hooked to it for the oxygen supply. A switch alternates between 15% oxygen--low O2 and 99% oxygen, high O2, directly out of a large bag that an oxygen generator has inflated and is still pumping O2 into it. I did a minute warmup to get my heart rate above 100 and then 2 minutes at high O2, switch to low O2 and do a burst on the cycle where I would reach an rpm in the 160's then settle back into the triple digits. At the end of 1 minute one switches back to high O2 and does another burst on the cycle and so on for 7 cycles of high and low, then a few minutes of cool down for a total of about 25 minutes to half an hour. Even several hours after I finished LIVE O2 training people would comment on my color. Yes indeed, my skin retained a rosy, oxygenated color for quite awhile after I had finished. It just floods your body with oxygen. We breathe 20.9% at sea level. The 15% where we get into trouble but at one minute on that bike the cells are into oxygen deprivation. When the high O2 is switched on it is a relief! One's cells start sucking in that 99% oxygen like a an alcoholic just been given a quart of Jack Daniels! They sold the LIVE O2 setup and put in a hyperbaric chamber! I was the first one offered the purchase of the LIVE O2 setup for --$750! What a mistake not to have bought it!

That is another way to oxygenate your body. Right now I am doing back squats, cleans to overhead presses and deadlifts to just make myself gasp for air for a few minutes between sets. Initially I started with very light weights concentrating on form because of the damage done to old injuries in my shoulders and a back ligament from the 1980's after repeated exposure to fluoroquinolone drugs. I had forgotten all about those old injuries until the fluoros! The back ligament -- I was trying to add weight too fast. It got "tender". I quit for a couple weeks, a chiropractic adjustment and then restarted. The exercises became easier and the weight used increased--not quite as quickly! The back ligament is still weak but it is the best it has been in years. My left shoulder snaps but there is little pain now. I was unable to hold a weight in my right hand, for example, when doing a biceps curls without pain. A year ago that shoulder became partially dislocated when doing a biceps curl. These big multi joint exercises have stimulated my body into making the maximum amount of growth hormones it is capable of. I would say the growth hormones are what is healing the soft tissues, the joints, tendons and ligaments. That is a bonus to the gasping for air between sets of these exercises which helps to oxygenate my body but also increases circulation.

Please don't start mixing chemicals. When I was on the HAZMAT ERT it was part of the job I had in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You don't have access to a quality control lab to test the "finished product" you might formulate at home.

Supplements and supplementing? If you are going to take supplements there is much to be said to having a savvy doctor, a doctor of naturopathy, an herbalist and a PhD, ( I was lucky to get one between grants), look over what you are taking.

How many drops of Cellfood do you take a day ? Seems is popular on amazon and have good reviews .

I have 'Micropur MP1" water purifier tablets intended for people camping who want to make water safe for drinking. Says "when added to water micropur tablets release chlorine dioxide which is effective against viruses, bacteria, giardia and cryptosporidium". You add one tablet to a liter of water and wait several hours. So, it's something in common use for this purpose but I fail to see how it would have any benefit in fighting covid-19 or prostate cancer. Buyer beware when it comes to sketchy 'cures' like this.

It was promoted as a cure-all for bad breath to dentists maybe 20 years ago. It was pretty foul-tasting stuff. I certainly wouldn't ingest it.

If I recall correctly, this 'drug' or concoction, is more commonly known as MMS or something like that.

It is considered dangerous and it is / was / became illegal to sell.

I actually consumed some (given to me free of charge) years ago and threw hundreds of dollars worth in the garbage. The 'owner' of the concoction was forced out of business and gave a huge amount away before they could seize it.

Quackery at its best - beware of 'ridiculous' claims - this will be totally useless for PCa.

In fact, the 'inventor' had no medical background at all - his was in theology.

I might be wrong but the world chlorine (MMS) rang 'THAT bell' .....

All that sounds intriguing but pretty complicated and I don’t know how the wifey would warm up to my purloining her bath / toilet cleaners.

I’m sticking with the tried and true home concoction of: Eye of newt ... use two if they are small, wing of bat .... just clip off the sharp pointy things , grind them up and mix them in , oil of henbane ... 3 drops of concentrate ... grey vapor should rise up if done properly , oil of mandrake ... two dropper full.... red

vapor rises now and finally a pinch of poot ...just a pinch.....brown vapors rise now. This sits in the fridge overnight until it turns into a dark pungent ( poot odor ) Gelatinous semi liquid .... you hold your nose and gulp it down ... try not to gag. I rinse it down with 2 shots of 35% thjone absinthe. I feel MUCH better every time I use it.

👍👍👍👍👍😂😂😂😂😂

Firstly, I am not for or against chlorine dioxide. But you know what I find really funny? You read online comments about CLO2 and how dangerous it is.Yes, it is an oxidant. Oxidants work but stripping off electrons. It's quite a powerful reaction and is not to be underestimated. This is a relatively weak oxidant though. I think the real question is how does oxidation react with stomach acid, since you're ingesting it. Maybe a chemist could answer that.

Now, CLO2 is NOT bleach. It's true that it can be used as a bleaching agent, but citric acid can be used as a bleaching agent also and its clearly not bleach. Household bleach is a different thing altogether. The two have different chemical formulas. They may look similar but they are completely different. For example H2O is water - H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide. They look similar but are extremely different.

No-one has ever died from taking CLO2. There was ONE story once of someone who died after taking it but they couldn't say one way or the other. Contrast that with 'legal' meds including OTC versions...

The doses recommended are very low. You are talking about a few drops. From what I've read, you apparently start at a very low dosage and see the effects and gradually increase the dosage. If you take too much too soon you will suffer nausea and possibly a herx reaction.

Now look at another oxidant like chemo. This is a much more powerful oxidant. It even has to be handled with a hazmat suit. It's literally IVed into your blood and with huge doses. It's proven to be carcinogenic and will make you extremely unwell. It's indiscriminate in that it will kill all cells it touches, good or bad. Do you see people with pitchforks with this treatment?

The issue really to me is that people have never really disproven it. They seem to jump on the 'not accepted by the FDA so it's quackery' bandwagon and just repeat what others have said without researching it or understanding it enough to disprove it.

What you really need is someone like a chemist who can answer this using actual chemistry and explaining the chemical reactions of SPECIFICALLY this oxidant and not in general terms of oxidations/reduction etc. It's simply not enough to discredit this using some silly remark about bleach or quackery. ANY TAKERS? Please go ahead. Like I said, I'm not for or against it. I welcome any outcome as long as it's professionally done.

As for safety, I would consider it to be safer than some alternatives like chemo but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider it is still a risk. You would need to be extremely careful and start at a very very low dose. I'm not advocating it's use in any way. I'm merely stating that if you decide to take it you should be extremely cautious. If it was me personally, I would consider looking at alternative treatments than one that uses oxidation if possible.

Hi MrG68 - Thank you for helping clear things up as I submitted this write up within a response to Parkinson's group looking into it trying to educate anyone willing to learn of ClO2 here is most of he write up -

Not just a response to your post but to anyone who would like to have some knowledge on this. Here is a little bit on MMS / Chlorine Dioxide (made from a diluted mixture of Sodium Chlorite - with a “t” - and a diluted acid and one we can ingest such as Citric 50% or Hydrochloric 4~5% same concentration as in our stomachs) is something that anyone living in a country, such as the USA etc., has benefited from and/or ingested hundreds if not thousands of times already, throughout their life.

It is NOT BLEACH as in Clorox Bleach which is Sodium HYPOchlorite (emphasis added) check your bleach bottles. It’s a totally different chemical. If your "Googling" it you're not going to get much truth as Google and YouTube are owned by the same entity and came to an agreement 5 to 6 years ago to ban any positive info on it.

Here's what a LOT of people don't know ... If you shop at a supermarket ALL meats - beef, poultry and seafood are washed with it. ALL fruits and vegetables are washed with it and they don't have to be rinsed and that's OK with the FDA. They use it for canned goods, some toothpastes and mouthwashes. Hospitals, schools and some office spaces use it as it kills SARS and MRSA. It's in blood bags since 1994 as it kills HIV and other pathogens. Dentists use it especially for root canals and oral surgery. They clean colonoscopy cameras with it. They sterilize a lot of medical instruments with it. It’s how they clean the breathing tubes and tubes carrying liquid as it will clean any biofilm/sludge out. It’s in purified bottled water. Campers and hikers use it to purify water when they need.

Can it bleach - oxidize something? Absolutely! The difference is a noun vs verb. When people hear the word bleach or chlorine they get nervous. A lot of things "Bleach" - verb. Hydrogen Peroxide, Lemon Juice (Citric Acid), Vodka, Sunlight and in the right concentration – yes – Chlorine Dioxide will Oxidize a substance like a pair of jeans etc.. You’ll see them pour it on a pair of blue jeans and see it turn white. Of COURSE it will, it’s an Oxidizer and Indigo is a pretty weak color for fabric. It’s doing what it’s supposed to do – oxidize - and that’s exactly how your respiratory system works!! You know your breathing in and out completes a cycle of bleaching/oxidation and is the very essence of bleaching, bleaching your cells with oxygen and ridding your body of Carbon Dioxide. That’s how ClO2 works. Chemical disassociation.

Taking ClO2 (Chlorine Dioxide) is not taking Clorox – Sodium HYPOchlorite – (noun). That’s why Chlorine Dioxide works so well for viruses as it kills all viruses. It was the #1 use for ridding Covid 19 in Bolivia. Over 7,500 Dr’s are now using it worldwide as they had to take it themselves when they got sick and nothing else would help. FDA has done test on ClO2 and when they saw the results they buried the study as it would have sunk the medical system. It’s out there to find somewhere as someone inside leaked it out. Now you don’t drink it in that amount of concentration that makes jeans white as you’d never get it down as it would be too strong. It’s already used to purify water municipalities all over the world. Used mostly in the south and southeast USA. It’s in over 30,000 patents and included in some combination for cancer treatments.

Remember – science is implementation, observation and repeatability and all those ClO2 testimonies are many positive and repeatable life saving results.

There’s no money for the medical industry if cures are natural and inexpensive as they can not be made into a patent. If they’re going to loose billions from something so simple and at the same time pharma supplying 70% of the advertising dollar to media, that will ruffle some feathers. Some people have been killed for less and some have been put in jail and some without charge, hearing or trial.

I’ve drank gallons and gallons of the stuff intentionally and you probably have too unintentionally, just unaware.

BTW when it’s use is done in the body it turns into a grain or two of salt - sodium chloride with a “d”.
