Blood in Urine update

Posted last week about having blood in my urine. URO performed a cystoscopy the morning. All was ok, he said the only thing there was, is some scar tissue in my urinary track at the tip. It apparently built up, clogged everything up and finally broke loose. Which explains the 30 degree direction and spray my stream was taking. Dodged this bullet I suppose. The cystoscopy was not pain free, but not as bad as I was expecting.

I'm sure it is a relief. I've had blood in my urine for the last 5 weeks and doctor has finally organised a CT scan for next Friday. I usually see quite a lot of blood after physical exersion. Doctor thinks that my stent from left kidney to bladder may have moved. Will find out on Friday.

I'm going for a cystoscopy in 4 hrs. I started having bouts of hematuria in April. It would present and stop immediately and repeat every 2 to four months to present. I've had 2 urinalysis tests the day after an episode w no blood in urine. I hope it's the same result as your case. Did you have radiation therapy as primary or for salvage treatment?

I had no radiation, just surgery, Lupron and Zytiga. I am on my 7th month of ADT vacation. Best of luck. It’s not too bad of a test and is over very quickly...less than a couple of minutes for me.
