Latest PSA results while on mebendazole

So it dropped from 1.4 in December to 1.1 in January - but with a caveat of unknown (to me) importance. This is the first time I've noticed that different labs use different methodology to come up with their results, so I included the methods here FWIW. Quest seems to have gone from Siemens chemiluminescent to Beckman ultrasensitive, then Beckman Coulter, and back to Siemens, while LabCorp (the Life Extension Foundation lab) seems to use only Roche ECLIA. Now I don't know what to make of my results - Quest says Siemens chemiluminescent will give results 20% lower than Beckman Coulter, but how does either of those compare to Roche ECLIA? And the labs say that different methodologies cannot be used interchangeably. I mean two labs and three different methodologies? How is this rational and justifiable? It makes zero sense to me, but there must be a good reason. Right? Since LEF uses only LabCorp, I guess I should have my doctor's requisitions sent to LabCorp from now on.

Prior to Nov. 2018: generally between 0.6 and 0.9 following my last HIFU in 2015

Nov. 2018: 0.9 Quest Siemens

mid-April 2019: 1.871 uh-oh Quest Beckman Coulter

mid-May 2019: 2.277 - Quest Beckman Coulter - urologist says PC has returned; no biopsy; Axumin and MRI scans note "anomalous" activity in the midline suggesting recurrence, no metastases seen; begin fenbendazole (4 g) 3 days on 4 days off

mid-July 2019: 1.824 Quest Beckman - continue FZ 4g 3on/4 off

mid-August 2019 1.505 Quest Beckman - continue FZ 4g 3on/4 off

mid-September 2019 1.996 (anxiety level rises) - continue FZ 4g now daily

mid- October 2019 1.5 LabCorp Roche ECLIA - reduce dosage to 1g or 2g (whatever I could get), sometimes daily, sometimes M-F, sometimes every other day (essentially 3on/4off) - this is when my urologist refused to order another PSA because he said I need it only every 3 months, despite the scans showing cancer and despite my taking fenbendazole - maybe he wants to wait 3 months to see if it metastacizes?

mid-November 2019: 1.5 Quest Beckman Coulter - got my PCP to order this one

12/6/19 I switched to mebendazole because fenben was getting expensive for an unproven medication and the sources on Amazon were sometimes not in stock - and it's pills instead of granules so much easier to take, and apparently just as effective - I ordered a lot in case some lowlife pseudo-pharma company (doesn't create meds, just buys the rights to sell them) buys all the Indian rights like it has in the US. So on 11/21 ordered 750 mebendazole tablets 100 mg from India for $193.50 + $15 shipping - received 12/6 and started taking 2 pills with lunch (peanut butter = fat) and 2 with dinner (always some fat)

December 12, 2019: 1.4 LabCorp Roche ECLIA

Jan. 23, 2020: 1.1 Quest Siemens - This otherwise hopeful drop from 1.4 to 1.1 may be deceptive because of the different labs' different methodologies, I ordered another LEF LabCorp test and will post the results as soon as I get them. But at least the downward drift in PSA is continuing with mebendazole. I've read something about the anti-helmintics gradually losing their cancer-fightling powers with time, but I see Joe Tippens still seems to be going strong after 3 years, and he was far worse off than I ever was, so maybe...it's actually working?

Was there any other reason other than cost to change from Fenbendazole to Mebendazole ? Both work by disrupting microtubules of cancer cell and causes cancer cell death.

Second question: Joe Tipppens protocol indicates a dose of 1 gram 3 times a week for Fenben...was there a reason for you to go up to 4 grams 3 times a week? Are your liver enzymes normal?( Corection: 3times a week)

There was also reliability of supply - sometimes Amazon vendors seem to run out of fenben in particular doses. I never took 4 grams 3 times a day - it was 3 times a WEEK. And my liver enzymes tested fine in late October. Another reason to switch was that mebendazole has been tested for safety in humans pretty thoroughly, while fenben hasn't (though I think it probably is just as safe). Plus pills are a lot easier to take. I should have noted that I take them with cimetidine - at this time I'm taking 200mg with cimetidine twice a day, so 400 mg a day. I still have no idea if mebendazole and fenben doses are equal, but the standard dose for mebendazole is 100 mg, but that's for worms, and since it's not very bioavailable, I figured taking more gives it more of a chance to get into my bloodstream at closer to therapeutic (for cancer) doses.

Plainly I have almost no idea what I'm doing, but that seems to be the case for all alternative treatments. As with any treatment, I can only hope it's doing what it seems to be doing and not fooling me. Joe Tippens's experience has a lot to do with any confidence I have - I mean if it works for him, maybe it can work for me. And I have to note again that I've never had metastases - it's always been confined to the capsule, while Joe says his scans were lit up like a Christmas tree, so...all this is what passes for my reasoning.

Update 1/27/2020: The new LabCorp result is 1.4 - the same as in December. The Quest 1/23/20 result of 1.1 was an illusion: Quest says this about their method: "The test

result will be approximately 20% lower when compared to the equimolar-standardized total PSA (Beckman Coulter)." Well, LabCorp uses Roche ECLIA - is that the same as "equimolar-standardized total PSA (Beckman Coulter)"? Because the LabCorp October result is the same as the November Quest result, while the difference between the Quest and LabCorp January results is indeed about 20%.

Bottom line: My PSA didn't change from December (1.4 LabCorp) to January (1.4 LabCorp). Oh - and I'm not using Quest anymore.
