Well day 3 of minimally ingested 250mg tab.

My newest, I said newest Chemo-cancer pharmacist just told me.

1. 2 hours absorption into my body ?

2. ~~ 1 week till total loading effect. ?

I have not re-read my Pharmacological data pack yet. Those are my ? marks on the two points.

Anybody can shed light?

1. abiraterone is slowly absorbed through the gut. More quickly with fat.

2. it slowly builds up in your bloodstream. He is saying that it takes a week of daily intake until it reaches its maximum concentration. After that, the daily amount absorbed=the daily amount excreted. This is called the "steady-state concentration."

I have been taking 1000mg of abiraterone daily for 6 weeks. PSA down to <0.3. Originally in the hundreds. Lupron brought it down to around 0.7 for a couple of years. It then started to rise and after it got to 1.3 or so Dr said this was next step. Should work for a year or so. Still doing Lupron shots quarterly. Hip and sacrum pain has gone away.
