It's been 2 weeks since my Subcapsular orchiectomy, some minor issues, after surgery my bladder wouldn't work and needed catheter overnight, everything was fine next morning and I went home with some 'Flomax' to shrink my Prostrate down. This week the stitches came out and the wound opened up and became a little infected, regular care from my wife we seem to be on top of this and everything looks good now (soreness gone and no puss).
I got to see pain specialist Tue and she basically doubled my Opioids and Nuerontin. The pain has been it's worst at night, waking with Femur and hip pain and difficult to get my legs moving for several min (a bit like when you sleep on your arm badly and all the circulation has gone, and it takes time to get the arm moving again). She sent me for an MRI and will consult with a RO to see if they can find any hot spots to radiate, I will know results next week sometime.
Bit of a roller coaster last couple of weeks but thankfully all minor issues.

Thank goodness you held onto the lockin bar during your roller coaster ride. Keep on Keeping on and hopefully you have good news from next week's counseling with your RO.
I'm going to Doctor in the morning, it's now coming up to the 3rd week post surgery and this wound isn't closing. All the stitches have dissolved now and I'm using these tape stitches from Chemist and it's still a little infected inside. The edge of each side has healed so I don't see how they will heal together, I really need a Doctor to reassure me that it will heal.
Nurse was very good this morning, she said my Wife did a good job of keeping the wound clean and stopping the infection getting worse. I will go back Thursday and she will monitor my progress until it's healed properly.
I feel a bit more relaxed that a trained nurse is monitoring, I imagine it would be very hard to treat if the infection becomes bad.
