I just received among many other blood tests, a Testosterone test. It was 0.16 ng/mL. Just how do I interpret this reading? I get confused regarding the ng/ml formula. Thanks everyone.
Testosterone Level : I just received... - Advanced Prostate...
Testosterone Level
0.16 ng/mL (nanogram/milliliter) = 16 ng/dL (nanogram/deciliter)

Thanks. So should assume that my testosterone is 16?
0.16 ng/ml = 16 ng/dL -- anything under 50 ng/dL is considered castration; anything under 20 ng/dL is considered optimal castration. So, whatever you're taking for ADT is working very well.
Thanks, appreciate your time sir.
Great news ! You’ve joined my club of castration . Keep the bastard away .. enjoy life everyday .. dealing with no t has its own set of charms attached . As long as your castrated chances of APC taking over are minimal . Congrats on step one in what is for us a lifetime affair .. Keep truckin !
Yes- 16 is considered great if you are measuring cancer progression. But you also need to be aware of the side effects of low T.
No/ low energy
hot flashes
need to take naps
gain weight- belly fat
cognitive fog
no sex interest/drive
"stiffie" on sabbatical
You also need to know that low T will slow cancer down but not cure it. Welcome to the club.
I think it was pjoshea13 that posted about anti angiogenesis helping to keep cancer "corralled". You need to do more than just be content with low T.
