Generic Zytiga Cost

I just ordered my Zytiga generic refill from Community Specialty Pharmacy division of Walgreens. The retail price was just over $3000 and my Medicare copay was $150. I have used generic since January with no problems.

United Health AARP plan.

Which plan do you have? I thought the 5 percent co pay was standard with all Medicare plans after donut hole exceeded.

It's different for each state, not a lot but some. I have SilverScripts.

I also have AARP United Healthcare - Walgreens plan. But as you can see from my recent Zytiga vs. generic post, United Healthcare directed me to Briova. I think United Healthcare, Briova, and Optum are all connected, but that's hard to confirm with a simple search. So I'm curious, if we have the same Part D plan, why was I was directed to Briova while you just used the Walgreens specialty pharmacy?

I had to get Optum’s approval before I got Zytiga. I like Walgreens Specialty... they take care of all interface with insurers, call each month to see how I am doing and deliver the drug to my neighborhood Walgreens. I am not familiar with Briova.

Is monthly cost. In January copayment is $2700 to get past donut hole, etc.
