Generic Zytiga
Don't know the answer but here is an article explaining why generic may be available

An earlier article showing approval of Yonsa which is the generic for Abiraterone Acetate (Zytiga)
Did you receive a name of the generic?

This is very good news. I had heard earlier this year that it might be available in generic in October due to a successful patent challenge. I would like to know how much it costs without insurance. For instance I do not think that insurers will reimburse for people that are still hormone sensitive but yet have biochemical recurrence only.
AARP plan D approved abi for me, I am post-salvage radiation and on LHRH with PSA steady at 0.02.
Is abi a medication name?
Do you know your projected yearly cost for the med?
I was told by my pharmacist they had it in stock but they wouldn’t give me any information because I’d just filled my Zytiga. Next month I will find out. 80 a month is real good or at least better than most. Did you get a name and cost?
abi=abiraterone=Zytiga=Yonda
I would stay with the Jannsen brand if your insurance will pay. The j & j appeal was granted another shot but the generics were given the ok. Risky for the generics
