I confirmed at my Walgreens today that generic Zytiga is available for $3500 per months supply. Use this as a benchmark and shop around as others may be charging considerably more.

out of pocked u said right? will if one can afford it go for it. alot of us have to depend on foundations since the average is 10,600 without insurance per month
Zytiga generics at Walgreens we’re listed at $3500 retail for a months supply. I would guess that providers and insurers will start pushing patients in that direction soon.
Before you switch to generic, make sure your doctor is ok with it as I have read that the generic version is not exactly the same formulation as the original. Of course cost is definitely an issue. I am very lucky to have Optum RX with no out of pocket for Zytiga's $10,000 monthly cost. I would also be looking for a generic option if I had out of pocket $ to pay. Good luck and tread carefully.
I pay 560 monthly plus 5,000 dollars for donut hole once each year for Xtandi. Must get from Diplomat. I use Optimum RX for everything else. They have told that I cannot get Xtandi thru them. Anyone have any other information on this?
Check to see if your Med Center has a person assigned to help patients navigate the Special Drugs costs and copays maze. I spend exactly what you spend for my Zytiga.
I'm paying less than $10 under my Blue Shield plan that has a drug part. And, it's the original Zytiga. That leads me to believe that others may be folliwing suit.
