For those on statins: adding dipyridamole might be a good idea

the drug dipyridamole can be used to block statin-induced SREBP activation and augment apoptosis in statin-insensitive PCa cells.

In this study fluvastatin was used, maybe not the best option against PCA.

Dipyridamole can be taken instead/with aspirin, and there is a version with aspirin in it (Aggrenox).

My husband is taking astorvastatin and dipyridamole as Aggrenox (+ metformin, doxycycline, some tapeworm drugs and many supplements) following McLelland's metabolic approach. At the beginning he had headaches with dipyridamole , but adapting slowly beginning with just 50mg Aggrenox did the trick.

Jane McClelland in her FB page said that the Chinese herb Danshen/ Dan Shen works the same way. My husband is taking it.

If your husband was taking daily aspirin , did he stop when he started the Danshen?

Yes - for now but his DR is monitoring and may add it back next month

Aggrenox is used as an anticoagulant (platelet inhibitor} in people with previous stroke or TIA. It is effective but chronic use may affect the kidneys. Creatinine should be monitored when taking this medicine.

How do you find a doctor to prescribe those dogs for you? My doc won't prescribe any of those.
