You can’t say for sure.People who are under heavy chemotherapy sometimes develop chest infection.
When was he diagnosed and what is his chest scan results?
He was diagnosed on Dec 2017 after turp
His x-ray was normal that time
He has Gleason 2+4 and recent psa is 7
His psa has raised to 12 three months ago from 0.9 now again after zoladex implant down to 7
He is not on chemotherapy
Fever? Chills? Is he coughing up blood? Green or yellow sputum?? Maybe get an Xray and a complete blood count--ck for elevated WBC's...
Good luck,
Fish
Wbc is slightly low
No fever
White thin sputum
Also no blood
Did he have an Xray? When he had the complete blood count, did he have elevated eosinophils? Also, when you look at the complete blood count--make sure there is no percentage listed for bands...If there is, let me know...It could also be viral, but let me know about the Xray, Bands, and eosinophils...Thanks
Fish
He should talk to his oncologist. There's a nasty flu this year - I hope he had a flu shot.
X-ray today is the way.
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I had a chronic non-productive cough prior to my PCa diagnosis and the cough is what prompted me to see a MD, however, the cough was determined to be due to enlarged lymph nodes in and around my lungs that were compressing my pulmonary artery and trachea etc. They’ve since reduced in size since I’ve been on Lupron/Zytiga/Prednisone/Xgeva. I would tend to agree with others comments that this should be assessed by a MD. It could be a simple case of a URI. Peace.
