Asbestosis and prostate cancer

Does anyone have any medical evidence that prostate cancer can be caused by a person having asbestosis. I am 60% disabled from the military for service-connected asbestosis. They will not cover my prostate cancer as being service-connected. Anyone with experience in fighting the veterans administration for service-connected prostate cancer due to asbestosis. I was not part of the blue water navy, I was never in Vietnam where agent orange would cover my prostate cancer .

thanks for this info- my spouse was an auto mechanic and many were exposed in late 70s to asbestos in brake pads and gaskets. he was also exposed to tire powder and fiber off of tires. for over 20 yrs. he would have black powder in his nose to wipe out after his work day ad n he always smelled of tires and hard to get the smell out of clothing. pretty sure both caused his cancer. prostate to bone to lymph and he did not know he had it until one day he had uti and right away it swelle d up and went into renal failure. I contacted an atty today and I have been searching for info like this bc I know it is causing this for men. ANd in last yrs nothing on line and i see this is from 2021 so it is coming out now. place he worked at no ac and no ventilation. no fan system. tires stored feet away from him and when mounting them on balancer it spins nad throws the dust right up your nose forcefully as well as when changing pads esp on big trucks it all blows off in your face. so upsetting. bc men did not know the damager of the job in 70-80s. just like the vets- GOD bless them all exposed to so much. MY spouse has no more chances left other than a miracle. AND holistic things.
