I’ve heard a few members on HU mention BIRM. Overview: My dad was diagnosed 10 years ago w/ PCa... with a RP in ‘09 and Radiation ‘10 and around 9 years of ADT. Now, Major Bone Mets scanned just last month. Doing Lupron every 6 mos and on day 11 of Xtandi. Last PSA on 1/31/19 was 312.
Just wondering what BIRM is all about and if it would benefit my Dad and go well w/the Xtandi and vitamin supplements he’s already taking?? Thanks

my question is -- does BIRM lower testosterone or if by damaging AR (which the study says it does) does it have the effect of Casodex (starving PCa cells of testosterone) and lead to castrate resistance in PCa cells over time?
Balances the immune system of people. Promotes antioxidant activities. BIRM is product of the extraction from a native plant from the Ecuadorian Amazon, is technologically modified and is created with the purpose of enrich and help the overall well being
100% natural product that acts to boost the immune system
According to Dr. Cevallos, BIRM action is aimed at strengthening the immune system. In this way, the body is able to effectively combat any external agent or alteration that may arise
"By the way Casodex does not damage the AR, it blocks it from T, by what we call putting its Key into the Keyhole of the AR, to cause the blocking." -- aren't you splitting hairs here? the result is the same, for casodex and birm: both cancerous and healthy prostate cells are prevented from using T.
