Does anyone know a source of good vegan protein that does not have a bad effect on PC please?

I have failed surgery and radiation and am preparing for the start of ADT around the beginning of 2019, I am vegan but eat fish about twice a week, no meat or dairy and I feel I don’t eat enough protein, I have low platelet (157) but rest of blood counts are good except the platelet, RP 2012, current psa is .44

Thank you

I purchased some books to learn how to help with the disease through nutrition. Once you mention turkey bacon being God's way. I love that! Please tell me what you eat. You are very informed about the disease and I love God. Please share!

If you do fish,1 little tin of sardines has >20 gms

VEGA ORGANIC PROTEIN AND GREENS(completely non-dairy) has 21gm/scoop. Put it in 12 oz soy milk and you’ve got 28gm. Can also put it in coffee or juice of choice or make a smoothie w/berries

Thanks,Neal. One question for you please: aren’t you concern with glutamine in these protein powdered? I have heard that glutamine is as bad as sugar in cancer metabolism.

Anyone have any thoughts on this please?

Thanks

Yes, but glucose from fat is way down the metabolic pathway. More likely the lipogenesis will convert the triglycerides to glycerol and fatty acids which are eventually converted to energy in the absence of glucose. This is the basis of the ketogenic diet.
