I found this very interesting. To me, whether directly or indirectly, points to a connection between proper exercise regiment and OS.

"Conclusion:

We demonstrate that sarcopenia may be associated with worse overall survival in patients with mPCa/CRPC and although obesity appears to be protective, this relationship is not evident among patients with sarcopenia."

"Conclusion

Sarcopenia is an independent predictive factor for a poor tolerance to docetaxel treatment. Given that cessation of the treatment leads to death from the disease, our study identified sarcopenia as an independent factor that raises mortality risk."

I am convinced that my exercise regime (swimming laps 4-5 days/week) is an important part of my systemic therapy for Stage IV MPCa. I also refuse to give up my love of red wine and certain single malt adult beverages!

I too swim about a 1km, 2-3 times a week, and cardio/weight 2-3 times. And always a yes to red wine.
