Well folks,

I have been following this forum for about a year now.

Diagnosed 2000 with PSA 20 and Gleason 7/7

Been riding the ADT train along with episodes of chemo and radiation.

MO been looking for mets for a couple of years now and every scan is clean, last one just last week.

I have been humbled by so many in this group and in some ways did not feel worthy to participate.

PSA is creeping up, so we are about to go with Erleada,

I saw recently where Darryl had asked for feedback from anyone using it, so i will share my experience as i go.

Fight the Good Fight

its so odd that so many men talk about there gleason score its only interesting before u start treatment then it goes away os if your on a treatment plan then forget your Gleason score then

IMO, Gleason is not relevant after primary treatment. It tells you the degree of disease sampled in the prostrate. Either you remove or kill the bastard or you don’t. If it goes systemic, then it’s the spread that is most important and how one deals with it.

mine was 7 and 9. one was the size of it (tumor) and the other was speed. its been 10 years now and i really don't give a crap. been on tons of meds, and many more drugs, the only way its gone or cured if u have the prostrate taken out at a low figure other then that u will have it until u die.

Good luck and I will be reading your posts as my husband is right behind you diagnosed in 2001.

I don’t want to jinx it but half dose Xtandi seems to be working for him at age 75. Hurrah!

We don’t know what lies ahead except that one day Xtandi will quit and it’s comforting to know there is a next treatment, if he opts to treat at that time/age/stage.
