Lupron side effects
Exercise can help preserve muscle mass - get permission from your oncologist first- metastatic bone lesions can fracture easily. Reduce caloric intake to match reduced metabolism. Nothing you can do to increase size of your testicles.
Use this sites search engine it is good and you will see we beat this subject to death
Testicles ? I bought smaller boxers 😕
I did 2 years Lupron.... shrunken testicles... however when finished the HT they returned to normal size. Reminded me of the old song:
🎵 like a rubber ball I'll come bouncing back to you 🎶
😀
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, give me the biggest testicles of all 🙏His legs dropped off 😱
All day it's been nagging me 😨 Booby Vee ?
Same here. My balls are the size of peanuts. I just accepted it. No one looks there anyway.
All I can say is join the club. Luperon is not the only one that produces those side effects. Orgovix , a newer drug, has exactly the same side effects, loss of muscle, belly fat, disappearing testicles, fatigue, etc. People advise exercise, but try exercising when you are so fatigued that climbing the stairs exhausts you so much that you have to take a one hour nap to recover.
"Orgovix , a newer drug, has exactly the same side effects, loss of muscle, belly fat, disappearing testicles, fatigue, etc."
I have been on Orgovix for 6 months and notice the first two effects but not so much the second two. I do 30 minutes every other day on 7 strength-building machines at a club, a routine designed by a physical trainer for me, and have good energy with no fatigue.
I hear you and maybe this will help. Can you sit in a chair? While sitting can you hold out your arms? Can you raise a leg off the floor?
If you said yes then you just won the exercise lottery. Here is how to collect your money. Buy a book on using resistance bands and READ it. Then go to WalMart or Amazon or were ever you shop and buy a set of resistance bands. You will see them colored by level of resistance.
Start slow and try for a couple of minutes 2 or 3 times a day.
One last help search and red about Chair Yoga.
Hope that gets you started.
don’t forget the best side effect: you are still here fighting the good fight!
Check out previous posts regarding the effects of Lupron; there an abundance of them here. Also, check out YouTube and other PCa organizations. You'll find a lot of support and suggestions for dealing with low T. Some weather the effects with a shrug; others are devastated. I fell in the second group. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Good luck to you.

Exercise- particularly weight training
Many men use transdermal estrogen (patches or gels) to fight the hot flashes, osteoporosis, increased blood glucose, increased cholesterol, and worse lipids, which are all common side effects of Lupron ADT.

Everyone's response to Lupron is different. Weight-bearing exercise is good but keeping a positive attitude is the best thing you can do for yourself.
A fitter body via exercise is the goal and getting there a journey of starting out doing what one can and prudently increasing intensity and modes as you progress. Nobody says you have to get there in a week or a month. In my lifetime I have found that getting from couch-potato unfit to fit takes longer and longer. This time around I am still getting fitter after about 1.5 years with no intention of stopping. It certainly has reached the point where things I struggled with like starting a snowblower/lawnmower are easy now, etc. Even if it has had no impact on my APCa arc, it has very much impacted my QOL.
I'm 74 also, been on Lupron for 5 years, have all the SE's you mention, plus "brain fog." Now that one could be due to antidepressant meds, or years of excess wine consumption, or just being 74. I don't remember who to credit, but someone posted a video with Dr. Robert Newton, an exercise oncologist. He recommends impact intensive exercise (running, jumping, etc) to counter the loss of bone density. And bone health is probably my biggest concern, so thank you to the gentleman who posted that clip!
4 + years on Lupron and all the above side effects .,,I started BAT the same time I stopped Lupron..,it took 6 months of BAT and my 2 pistachios and Vienna sausage are back to normal size…but so far I’ve been unable to get rid of the 12 lb Lupron tire around my waist…And I swim 4x a week, eat good, only a glass of wine on occasion.,..I stopped BAT a couple of months ago to get my PSA down , but will start Bat again shortly..,I’ve decided not to go Pluvicto due to my age, (86 …in 2 weeks)
