Is anyone in the forum doing the trial with Navarixin and Keytruda? If so, I am very interested in how it is going. My husband is about to get his third Keytruda infusion. His side affects have been horrible on this trial.

Listing his side effects would be helpful for others who maybe interested in this treatment. Hope his treatment is successful.

Basically he has no energy, no appetite, lots of joint aches and pains and has hardly left the couch for 3 weeks. Worse than either of the chemo treatments he did, because with those at east we knew the side effects were only for a few days. This has been awful. It is not living. I think he will probably leave the trial.

to Schess, I've posted this before. Besides my Pca I also have stage IV (for Romans in the audience) Lung Melanoma. I'm being treated for that with Keytruda. It's working and no side effects. This may not be applicable to your husband but I thought you might want to know about my side effects. BTW how old is your husband and where are you located and where is he being treated?

My husband is 53 and is being treated at Duke in Durham NC. He was diagnosed with MPC 2 1/2 years ago.

I am being treated at Mayo in Rochester Mn with Keytruda for stage four NSCLC which is not a metastasis of my PCa. Tumors grew while on keytruda so they added docetaxel .Will get scans again in three weeks to see if any change. Sounds like docetaxel has some rotten side effects!

to bjorner3:

"Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer". Weird, tumors growing while on Keytruda...Hmmm I will see my Melanoma Oncologist on 11/6 and I will ask her about that. If I find out anything that is pertinent to your condition I will send you a message. At least you're in one of the best cancer fighting hospitals, that's good. My Keytruda treatments cost $30K each (I've had 15 so far). Hang in there.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
