I’m on my second round of docetaxel.

Is their a conscious regarding the use of antibiotics while undergoing chemo?

I have a issue separate from PCa that improves with ampicillin.

Welcome you thoughts.

Been there, done that, no problems. OKed by both Drs. But inform them anyhow.

Hello Pinejogave, if you have an infection during chemo there may no choice. Some antibiotics are known to suppress PCa and may be useful adjuvants but this requires more research. On the other hand antibiotics can severely disrupt the microbiome in your gut, which may adversely affect your response to treatment. No way to know with certainty the potential effects. Phil
