My Oncologist just told me that I failed the PD01 and FISH tests following my submission of the latest biopsy on my liver. Now what? My Dr said that he didn't get the braca (?) portion done but will request it. Anyone know what that is? He also gave me a trial that could be available for me at Moffitt. I called them and have an appointment on 6 Aug. In the mean time, I continue to take fluids twice a week to keep the system in working order.

What do you mean by "failed"? - that you had those genes, didn't have those genes, or the test was inclusive? BRCA2 abnormalities in a tumor can mean a PARP inhibitor may work. Did the histological analysis show anything useful?

Whatever the test was looking for in my PD01 & FAST ... they didn’t find i.e., failed. No data on histological analysis. Presume that is why they are doing the BRCA test.

It sounds like the test was looking for damaged genes - You can look at it as a success rather than a failure if they didn't find any. BRCA is a genetic test, not a histological test.
Not what you're looking for?
