Immunotherapy - hypnosis

About 30 to 40 years ago, there was an extensive report on portuguese television about an experiment done by two doctors in the USA.

Unfortunately I don't remember the details anymore,

One of them had cancer in a very advanced stage. As he had a friend who was a psychiatrist, he proposed a new experiment to him, as an attempt to cure the cancer.

I don't remember very well, but the treatment consisted in hypnotizing the friend daily or almost daily, making him mentally go through his whole body looking for the cancerous cells and killing them. What is certain is that, according to the report, the cancer disappeared and was cured.

Does anyone know if this type of treatment has been used again?

And often it’s the sickest , most desperate, people that will ( understandably) grasp at anything … and pay any amount. I haven’t heard of using hypnosis this way before. It’d be great if it contributed in a helpful way. I could see how it might help pain management , dunno about much else.

Listen to the science: autosuggestion can control blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, breathing, sleep and solutions to all your searches while in nirvana can be found. Alpha brain waves: check it out. Having practiced self hypnosis since my teenage years, I always feel much better after a session! Day by day in every way!

Best of all, it’s free.

That's all good. It brings peace of mind as well and is basically one of a few ways to calm your heart rate thru relaxation.

But to suggest you can command/control/effect your micro biological activities (cellular level) is a bridge too far. No bridge exists.

It’s called autogenic training. No barrier to the brain as in treatment attempts for Cognitive impairment, etc.

I wouldn’t poo poo anything. There are things we just don’t understand yet. The mind is powerful. It is why placebos work. It is why we physically cry when we think something sad or why our hearts race when we watch a scary movie. My husband bought me something called oculus for last Christmas. My son put it on and went on an extreme roller coaster ride visually. It took his stomach away and when he removed the oculus, he felt nauseous. He never left the couch but the mind reacted as if he was physically there. So, I’m not saying Hypnosis it’s going to cure cancer but it is something interesting to read about for sure.

Apparently it did not catch on. Ya think?

Thanks for posting. I remain open to everything. The mind is a powerful tool. We only use 10% or less with 90% going unused. Scientists have slides of PCa cells surrounded by white blood cells, but they dont attack. They dont realize the enemy is clear and present danger. What if the mind could awaken those white blood cells to recognize the enemy and attack with Millions more White blood cells to back them up. Everyone with Stage 4 PCa should watch “HEAL” on Netflix or Youtube. It addresses the ability of the mind to Heal. Once proven, I am with TA, show us a Human Trial with good number of Men w PCa and a placebo side for the World to see. The cure is out there. This disease will be cured. Hopefully in our lifetimes.

Best,

Mike

This can be done with self hypnosis as you visualize the shining good cells and the cancer cells axed or whatever works for you . I would not assume a cure in any singular treatment , but combining the mental work with the meds can only help. I do my own mental work picturing more fluid btwn joints etc or smuscles one by one I tell I am grateful for it's how I manage pain and at other times admittedly I reach fir the med first . The key is balance and that you can do this treatment to yourself bc it's not hypnosis .. so much as programming your subconscious . Look into self hypnosis for healing xo

I suppose for this treatment to work several conditions must be met. One of them is that the patient has a basic prior knowledge on how his body work. If he doesn't have this knowledge, I don't see how he can delivery the message through to his subconscious.I remember that the report showed that side. The patient was a doctor, so he was aware of how his body worked.

The main problem will be to characterize the cancer cells, that is, how to tell to the subconscious which cells to kill, otherwise it might start killing everything, I think.

I am gathering all the data that I think that is necessary to do this experience to myself, but I still don't know how to characterize the prostate cancer cells.

I see no other way to solve this problem.

Any ideas?

Meanwhile, I'm going to contact Portuguese television, to see if they can find it and give me a copy of the report to see it again.

There is a many documentation about the communication between the immune system and the brain.

As an example:

My husband started “Joe Dispenza’s” program (you are not the placebo). He does the guided meditations daily and we have seen improved scans twice. May and Sept 2021. First year in 5 the cancer is retracting rather than spreading! He literally feels crazy sensations while doing the meditations. We don’t question things, just do everything possible to help kick the can down the road!

This is brilliant. Keep it up. I love Dispenza's books. Is he doing it from the book or a course?

Started with books and added the online course which includes the meditations!

I hope other than the knowledge of stage 4 cancers presence we all experience here,I hope everything is ok. Seems as if it is since you just said scans look good.

You post from 12 days ago was a little concerning:

CT scan came back…“Adrenal Glands: There is a 2 cm mass noted in the left adrenal worrisome for metastasis. The right adrenal is enlarged to 1 cm.”

Has anybody experienced this and what course of action is necessary if any?

Xtandi and Xgeva are the current treatments.

This isn’t all that great news either…There appears to be involvement of nearly every vertebral body. As an example the entire vertebral body of L1 is sclerotic. There are partial sclerosis of the other vertebral bodies. There is a large sclerotic lesion noted in the midportion of the sacrum measuring approximately 3.6 cm. Sclerotic lesions are also scattered throughout the pelvis with near complete involvement of the right inferior pubic rami. There are also bilateral areas of femoral and sclerosis indicative of metastatic disease.

Met with Oncologist this morning and she said “he’s doing great “overall”. She looks at whole package rather than just a gland or bone and is thrilled he’s not getting worse and Xtandi is working. Brought his PSA from 121 to 38 in 1 month and hopefully it will continue to come down.

Amen to all that. Good attitude etc.But speaking of rabbit hole I think Bugs Bunny just appeared and said he could hypnotize us with his carrot and command our cancer cells to die.

While I don't subscribe in any shape or form to mentally destroying cancer or any other illness for that matter, our relationship between our minds healing power are only beginning to be explored (psychedelic mushrooms come to mind). Can anyone answer his question or is it best to ridicule him?

I tried self hypnosis one night and tried to get a Hardon in bed. I was thrilled to see the sheets on the bed slowly rising, When the sheets rose enough, I gasped and quickly pull the sheets back and to my amazement my pajama string was standing straight up in the air. What a bummer....

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Wow! One case with a friend who is a hypnotist, and reported in the prestigious journal of Portuguese Television. Maybe that proves it??? Wonder what the longer term follow up results are . . .🤔

It is sarcasm. Meant to make people question the validity of such a report. Not questioning the validity of mental self interventions. So I felt that was needed for perspective. Will not zip it
