Joint pain after chemo

I finished 6 chemo treatments April 12. Nor and for the past several weeks experiencing joint pain and powerless and ankle swelling. Taking ibuprofen for the joint pain and lasixs for the swelling. Chemo shrunk the prostate and dropped my PSA. Hope these latest side effects subside. Anyone with a similar experience?

I finished my 6 rounds of taxotere in February. The last round was very rough. I couldn't eat anything for 14 days and had severe bone and joint pain. I had swollen ankles for about a month and still have pain in my shoulder, hip, knee and ankle joints. I'm exhausted all of the time and have lost a lot of my muscle mass. I'm told that it will get better over the next few months. I'm starting to get both my hair and strength back. The important thing is that it knocked my PSA down. I hope to start hitting the gym this week for light weight resistance workouts.

Finished 6 mos of Xofigo at end of 2015 with serious joint pain ever since. Ankles feet hands elbows and shoulders. Getting hard to get around. Doc says it's not from xofigo, I'm thinking otherwise.

Tom I had a full xofigo treatment and never had any adverse side effects. Xofigo eased my pain and slowed my pc with bone mets significantly for about a year. Dennis

Finished 7th cycle of docetaxel 5 weeks ago. It beat me up pretty bad, but PSA continued to rise (doubling time of under a month).

Waiting to see about a Keytruda clinical trial now.

For what it is worth there was an abstract at ASCO tht followed side effects in men who had the early 6 treatment protocol. It showed that at one year after completion a significant number of men reported a better quality of life than those in the control group. So, hang in there it should get MUCH better.
