Had my first round of chemo and while the day of and day after went well, on the second day and after it felt like someone electrified my bone mets. Pain is intense where they said I have the mets. I'm waiting for doc to get back to me but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Pain flares are common. It should subside within a week.

Hello

My father has recently had pain in his back (leg/foot). Is it result of chemotherapy? Wouldn't it be supposed not to have/improve on those who feel pain (which was not the case)?

He sometimes had back and foot/leg pain, but due to a spinal injury (several years ago). Once in a while I had a crisis. I think that is sciatic pain.

Can chemotherapy worsen pain in those who have hernias or is it due to metastases?

Anybody know?

Good luck and the best for you.

Hopefully it means that it is working on those damed metzs?

I didn't get much extra pain in days after each chemo, just the usual feeling of feeling like shyte. But I cycled at least 10km after each shot, increasing as weeks went by up t next shot. Maybe cortizone tablets might help.

Alvin's wife here, what helped Alvin during chemo last year was taking Claritin 24 hour about 2 days before chemo and 2-4 days after. When he didn't take it, he would get a major flair. When he did take it, it seemed to prevent the flair. Worth a try ..... good luck!

Hi there, I experienced sharp shooting pains where my tumours are: prostate, bladder and pelvis, a day or two after my first shot of chemo. I figured it was the docetaxel doing its job. These pains subsided and stopped after a couple of days. These pains became less and less after each subsequent chemo session and seemed to stop after chemo number seven. I'm having one more chemo shot next week, number nine, and hopefully that will be pain free too. Hope this helps, cheers 😎DD.

Thanks. Sounds like me. Sharp pains where mets are.

I had the same results during chemo but the pain stopped after round one maybe around two. Tylenol p.m. at night and a hot pad helped a lot. Doing around eight today and I have had no bone that pain for many weeks.
