Joint pain.

Does anyone have a suggestion for joint pain? My husband has had prostate removed 2017, on Xtandi for 15 months, then Chemo, now on his 2nd cycle out of 6 of Radium 223. He has about once a week, severe joint pain in his knee. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tall Allen, look forward to hearing from you.

Concerned wife.

Need to consult with orthopedics. If the diagnosis is osteoarthritis, an intracapsular steroid injection may provide a good control of the pain.

Talk to an orthopedist.

Thank you. I will have our GP give a referral for an orthopedic specialist.

I was on Lupron and bicalutamide with bad joint pain. Went on Lupron vacation all joints except for one knee became normal. That knee is arthritic by X-ray. Did a bone density test. t score a bit low for my age average. Steroid injection doesn’t work for entire 3 month period. Artificial knee or other treatment on hold until bone density improves Currently using vitamins with bicalutamide monotherapy.

Thank you for your reply. What vitamins are you taking? My husband takes calcium only.

There are other supplements that can help. Please see Mutual Braun's brochure "7 Secrets to Prevent or Reverse Osteoporosis and Osteopenia" . It's for sale on Amazon.

Try pickle juice. It helps for muscle/joint pain associated with chemotherapy

I have a hip that needs replacing but can't because my cancer is there. I was walking with a cane. Neuropathy in that leg. Doc prescribed gabapentin for the neuropathy which worked. Also prescribed diclofenac /misoprostol combo and that took care of that (mostly). Don't use a cane and can walk the dog again.
