Again and again

Well folks, it happened again. Over the last week our landlord began showing our rental house to a new perspective buyer. Unfortunately she saw fit to let herself in and look into every room without permission. Then in a very nasty email to my wife stating our home was disgusting. We have until the end of February to clean it up, pay a $400 pet deposit for cats we don't own, or else we're homeless again. Seven years we've lived here. Seven years we've delt with bugs, breakins, ever increasing rental prices, a cost of living that's squeezing us dry, and now this. We're a six person family living in a house built for two. Now I have the agonizing decision to get rid of the neighborhood strays or face eviction. Now I have to chose between one of the few things that bring my children joy, or see the light in their eyes dim further into a world of uncertainty.

I made an oath to serve the people of the United States. To support and defend the constitution from all threats both foreign and domestic. Now those in their golden palaces, behind guilded barbwire fences are wiping their perverbial ass with the rights I've seen good men and women die to defend. Protected by elected officials nestled under the suckling tit of injustice.

This isn't our country anymore, and the tragedy of it all it that it never was in the first place. What dimensional shift allowed evil to win? When did our futures make it to the clearance rack, or the bargin bin? When exactly was it, when the people of one of greatest nations on earth went from citizens to peasants?

Guess it doesn't matter. I was just let go from my job with no explanation. No way we're going to save up $400 now.

In an effort to gain an understanding to how this was legal, I called the Lt. Governors office. In a phone call the person I talked to Google searched the issue and informed me to call a disability organization in Arkansas who doesn't serve anyone over the age of 26. Good to know that if you pay your taxes, keep your nose clean, you'll get everything taken away from you.

If it's any consolation you are not alone in asking these questions. We have become complacent I think over the years, when leaders at least tried to speak with intelligence and give us something that made sense and we had a sense of security here. We were assured that the system of checks & balances would protect us from an autocracy. Now, we are all feeling the uncertainty. If you have adhd you're going to feel it stronger & more intensely. This new admin is genuinely trying to take over, and rule the world, you are seeing just as it is. We are watching the rise of Hitler. We don't need to time travel back to the past to see it. Just open up the eyes. As far as your empathy for strays, and your desire to see your kids smile, you can't take in strays because you have to take care of yourself and kids first. Instead, take the kids to a free animal event in the community, hang out in the park for free, find free events and give aways... you will meet other people like yourself, or people who are finding ways to enjoy life without being a part of the big BS scam that is going on right now.

I don't know what to tell you about landlords and peoples' judgmental opinions. Take care of yourself at every opportunity. Your kids will see that and do the same.
