Hi, I’m a 70 Year old Male living in Toowoomba Queensland Australia.

I was diagnosed with adult ADHD two years ago.

I am on Dextromphetamine, which has helped me heaps and can only dream how my life and the loved ones that I hurt through my journey..

it’s best not to dwell on the past. I live by the saying “when you know better, do better”. You need to forgive yourself for not knowing better. Just make progress for the future. If you are needing to ask for forgiveness, do so and move on.

That’s always the thing, isn’t it? It really is hard to get the emotional side to stop to allow the wise mind to do its job. That’s why my DBT is so helpful.

Not your fault if you didn’t know how to make life easier on yourself and loved ones.

I carry a LOT of shame surrounding bad decisions I didn’t realize were bad at the time. If I’d ever gotten REAL help —IF I ever get real help— I’ll do better in the future.
