I am looking for an ADHD therapist in my area. Houston Tx. Preferably one that takes insurance & works with couples.

Contact your insurance company for a list of therapists in your area that accepts your insurance.

I have gone through this myself with poor results. I've found instead support through virtual appointments with a therapist in the Dallas area. I have beacon value options and they have a terrible way of only keeping the least helpful therapists in-network, but I've learned even for out-of-network providers, you can submit claims for reimbursement. It's a pain for sure but worth it to look beyond the in-network providers. I get fully reimbursed too for my out of network therapist, so it is all just deceitful tactics to try and force you to use their list. Prana Counseling in Dallas in case you're looking.

Second piece of advice, talk to different people for your ADHD and couples therapy sessions. Unless both you and your partner have ADHD, then go for it! I've found tremendous value through my individual therapy and although more expensive, it has been helpful for us to do it this way.
