Extremely rare reaction to new batches of Meds ..! What's wrong?

It's actually a long story, anyway I'll try to keep it short and on to the point:About two years ago i finally got diagnosed with ADHD, and it was the best decision of my life literally. my psychiatrist started with generic ritalin, thankfully it even worked, while not perfect.

We then perfected the dosage to about 20 mg every 4 hours, 3 times, and it worked wonderfully way better than expectations.

**Everything was perfect for next 1 year, then apparently suddenly i felt like the meds just aren't working, no matter what they are not providing the same exact effect and infect i am getting terrible side effects. But somehow next day it worked, but here's the real difference, only the older batches were working !!!!! All the newer batches just did not worked for me, i am 100 % sure about it i tested it for months.

I even asked my doc to write me original branded concerta, and even it had the same exact issue, older batches worked, newer one did not worked at all !!!

I mean all generics , newer batches are having same exact effect on me !!

It's been 6 months and my life is completely messed up.

My doctor suggested atomoxetine which of course did not worked and had terrible side effects.

Maybe i am allergic to some filler? Well I don't think so personally, maybe lactose ? Maybe gut issues ?

No matter what, it seems like the issue is always the MPH itself, it looks like they changed the formulation or something? No matter what I do it just won't work.

Here's how i feel on new batches :

1: i take same dosage

2: some effects

3: then after 30 minutes i feel anxious, it's like anxiety is around the heart

4: very fatigued like muscles are stiff and barely move , feels like vasodilation but with anxiety at around heart area

5: immune response, tired, suddenly increased production of sweat and some weird smell, it feels like entire body is inflamed / fluid retention etc.

But, whenever i take older batches, bingo they just works magically.

I have also reached to pharma company including Johnson and Johnson and so far they have no answer, they say everything is right from our side it's same as Older batches.

Is there any hope ? What you guys suggest? Amphetamines are not available in my country unfortunately this is my only option.

Hi, I feel you need to discuss this with your doctor or a medical professional.

I don't have any other advice im afraid.

Only being able to have a max 28 day supply due to my medication being a controlled substance , I have never been able to swap between batches.

bupropion might be an option? an antidepressant, also prescribed for ADHD

Last option is taking a break for a few weeks, to see if that helps?

Or did you change anything in you habits, food/drinks/sleep/stressful events that might interfere?

I also have been struggling with meds, but I’m also dealing with psychiatric comorbodities that come naturally with ADHD, so I came to terms with the knowledge that meds are not always the answer to my problems.
