Atomoxetine

i have been on atomoxetine for about 3 years recently i have seen a decline in its success would anyone a better non stimulant that would be advisable to go on

I'm hoping that it treats my Inattentive traits as well as atomoxetine (Strattera) and that it also helps me with motivation. I've been on generic Strattera (atomoxetine) for three years.

Has anyone been on Atomoxetine or any other ADHD meds? Are there any interactions with MS meds?

Hi I have severe ADD and was Pxed Atomoxetine. However its been more then 8 months since I have visited the doctor. I have always postponed with for the next weekend and just like that 8 months has passed and me without those medicines feel very much disabled to function everyday.

My pharmacy here in New Zealand has no supply for the last several weeks. Do we have any idea if there is an issue with supply? Any supply issues elsewhere?

Hello everyone, I am new to this group, and I hope to connect with parents who are experiencing the same struggle as me; regarding my question, what opinion can you give me about the medication 'Atomoxetine' for children diagnosed with ADHD?

I think it's a dopamine issue like most people have, but it's different for me when my arms swell up like a balloon from taking different medications in the past with the worst of them being atomoxetine," The Atom Bomb" as I refer to it.

I took Ritalin first for about a month and then atomoxetine, or generic strattera, and they both absolutely destroyed my ability to sleep, which made everything worse. Wow... I do not wish that on anoyne.

My son (8yo, ADHD) has been doing well with medication (guanfacine ER + atomoxetine) for two years now. He is still moody and impulsive, but overall doing well.

Hello I've been on Stratera for almost two weeks and it seems like I have even less motivation, focus, clarity, etc., then before I started on it. I'm taking 40 mg. Should I talk to my doctor about taking more or less or switching meds? Thank you

This was 13 days after starting 40mg of Atomoxetine. It keeps getting better as time goes on and I realize the narrative of my life is a lie, I have ADHD. I started with a therapist, but he was not well versed in ADHD. How do I find a good one?

Finally they stopped all medications and started Atomoxetine 10mg and increased it to 20mg after less than two months. My daughter is not feling ok at all. She is full of anger and fights with us all day long. We do not have even one minute normal communication together. Everyghing is messed up.

I get little spurts of energy and motivation these days, but mainly not. 4/1 I had a good start with atomoxetine, but 2 to 3 weeks after starting a higher dose, it seemed like many of the positive effects faded away.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this group and just started taking Atomoxetine and Clonidine for my ADHD (one day ago). I felt okay in the morning, but by midday, I got restless and left work to go home for a nap. After waking up, focus was still a challenge, although slightly improved.

I started taking atomoxetine about 1 month ago and have plans to titrate up a bit. Just started 35mg/day (one 10 mg pill and one 25 mg pill a day). Going slow because I'm very sensitive to meds of all sorts. I know how I should do this so I'm not looking for dosing advice.

Have others used either of these, particularly in a child already on one or both of guanfacine or atomoxetine? I'd love to hear whether it worked for you. Thanks!

Strattera (atomoxetine) takes 6 weeks to build up to efficacy, and as we hung in there for those weeks he got worse and worse. Mostly afternoons he was so irritated and acted out. His behavior kept escalating - cursing, lying, defying teachers, and just so angry.

We had to stop Atomoxetine because my son has developed adverse reaction- severe tachycardia. Reducing the dose didn’t make the difference in pulse. Only once we stopped completely now his pulse is back to normal ranges for his age.
