I am new to adhd and have been trying to learn what I can since my psychiatrist helps with just medicine …. Looking back, my I always struggle with, well so many things , but it was once I hit menopause and lost a most beloved sister that it really became unbearable and I went in search of help. Helping not easy to find. Not cheap either. I see a lot of myself in my son, a teen now, and trying to talk to him about it. I am on the add of the adhd. I am the quiet, withdrawn, never bother anyone mess. That’s the reason I am here , to learn. Thanks.

Welcome aboard Corcovado, just try to take things 1 day at a time, try to keep the outside noise to a minimum.remember,yu can only do your best on any given day.
I am new to it as well. One thing I'm discovering is my quietness/withdrawness is because I'm unable to regulate myself and come across as argumentative or overshare when I do communicate. I always thought I was self aware. I'm not. I also never thought I was overly hyperactive. But oversharing is hyperactive. And as a result I got shutdown by others. So now the hyperactivity is in the brain. The conversations I should be having with others happen internally.
