Hey all, I know I haven’t written in awhile. This support helped. I found a support group for ADHD, but I may have to pay to join. I’m nervous about asking my parents. I still live with them. Whenever I muster up my courage, it’s when I do it afraid and I don’t overthink it. But I am scared. I just wanted to let this out.

Asking for what I want
Annegables124, I understand. It is hard to ask. It always makes me nervous to ask for something I want from anyone. It is hard to admit you need help. I want to join a support group, too, but I haven't found one nearby. Good luck and I support you! You should ask!Take care!
Thank you. You too
Hidden - There's a saying that goes like this: "Pay your farmer now, or pay your doctor later." In other words, if aren't willing to pay for healthy foods now, you'll end up paying more in the end due to health problems from your unhealthy diet. You could say the same thing about mental health as well. Assuming the support group you found is reasonably priced, isn’t it worth it to protect your mental health and develop healthy ADHD coping strategies? You just tell your parents that you are worth investing in. 🙂
Hi Annegables124. I loved those books! Ask and you will receive. The first ask for help is the most difficult, but it really gets easier. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks everyone, I asked and I joined a support group. And I’m glad I did.
