CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) has support groups by state and city.

ADDA (The Attention Deficit Disorder Association) also has a range of virtual support peer groups:

The only organization that actually has interactive video chats as well as video chats with other members is ADDA, and they are international, so you have members from Europe as well. I think it runs around 8.00 a month. All the other organizations and sites I know of just have webinars about ADHD content and not real interaction.

I find the ADDA support group video meetings very helpful. I attend as often as I can.

Wasted71, which ADDA group do you attend?

I attend the High IQ + ADHD peer support group the most, but also the Becoming a People Person group.

Thank you for asking! That never occurred to me!

Wow, that's great to hear. I was thinking of joining the highIQ group. One of the funniest statements I've ever heard about people getting diagnosed in middle age with ADHD is that you see people who are not brighter than you--sometimes obviously less bright--accomplishing so much more in the world! That's what brings people out of denial. This guy said that's what leads to so many middle-age diagnoses!

I actually joined a coaching group that Add.org recommended ... it's a fun group called Addiva ... I'm the only guy in the group. We meet two times a week. And mostly, we get brief orders from the coach and we keep our screens on ... and we clean and straighten. Decided to sign up because I have been promising to straighten my space since the start of covid, over three years ago!

Is there a low IQ group that I can join ?

Yep, I'd be willing to join that one too ...
