Yes. Sometimes. Meditation helps.

I have not experienced that on this Medication, or Perhaps I need to admit I take 2 Zopiclone at bedtime so am unaware if this occurs.

Oddly enough, Ive had The opposite effect; tension I used to store in my jaw & tongue is relieved w/Ritalin. But tried Adderall (before methylphenidate) & had intense jaw clenching.

Wow that’s interesting. Maybe it’s the combination of meds I am on at the moment or that it doesn’t agree with me. It’s really hard to tell sometimes and I’m so scared of trying another type of medication for ADHD because I’ve only tried this one and took a while to get used to it.

I started doing this pretty much as soon as I started on Vyvanse 2 months ago. It was even the low starting dose of 20mg. I used to have problems with clenching my jaw in my sleep several years back but it subsided. I dont know if that made me more susceptible to it reoccurring, but now i do it during the day as well. It sucks! What I found super helpful (and i'm probably going to do it again) was getting a mouth guard that covers the bottom teeth. I don't know if you have dental benefits or anything, but talk to your dentist. They take a mold of your teeth and make a hard rubbery guard that you wear at night, it honestly saved my teeth and relieved a bit of the tension from clenching. It's a little weird to get used to but i just found it so helpful. Vyvanse is working for me so I'm not going to riskthe hassle of switching meds just because of this, I'd much rather spend a little bit more money on non medical relief.

I have been taking Methylphenidate for six years, and I haven’t had any TMJ issues.

That’s interesting. Maybe it’s the combination of meds I am on then or stress or too high a dose from what I have read on these comments. Thanks for your reply 👍🏻🙂
