What to do when Adderall XR stops working.

I've been taking Adderall XR for several months now and it doesn't seem to be working any more. Anyone had this problem? What did you do?

Hi! I had the same exact thing happen to me with both Vyvanse and Adderall XR! I told my psychiatrist right away, and she switched me to regular Adderall twice a day. I had better luck with the regular/non-time-released Adderall XR. Good luck!

My Psych NP never put me on XR for that same reason. Also, there can be an adjustment period, where your body acclimates to the dose, and you may need to bump it up. Talk with your provider.

Your body can build up a tolerance to it. That’s what happened to me after taking it for

Look up memantine. It's an nmda antagonist that reduces Adderall tolerance. Worked wonders for me. And try to get in quality magnesium. Very overlooked by doctors. I recommend magtein. That's the most effective type of magnesium.
