Today I met with a women that is an advocate for individual with any type of disability. We connected. I felt she embraced my craving to have assistance with my learning disabilities as well as my anxiety and depression. As we were further into the conversation she explained how the program assisted w genetic testing and how successful the outcome has become. I found myself thankful since I do not like being on meds to begin with but Ihave excepted that I need the help. So I will be doing that soon. They find me a job and they protect it. So she places me where I would fit the best w my interests and we move on from there. I am looking forward after all these years to seeing the trees through the fog. THANKFUL!!

In Michigan it is called Michigan Rehabilitation Services. It is a program through Michigan Works that supports and finds jobs for individuals dealings with learning disabilities.
You meet w them, fill out the application, discuss your interests ECT. They work w You to find a job w an employer who will work with your challenges. If you have a degree that is great but you do not need one to ask for help. It is an extension of Department of Health and Human Services. Michigan Rehabilitation Services. Maybe you get get more info over the phone or emailing.
That is so sweet, I appreciate it. I am excited but have to slow myself to grasp all that I need to accomplish to move forward. They are their to support and guide me so that alone is a wonderful thing to know. The individual I sat and spoke w seemed to really connect with me. Personally, I need someone with a bed side manner because it is more personal for me.
