Need Help for insurance

Helll everyone 🙆‍♀️

I just moved to LA. I was taken Ritalin and Concerta back home. Now I need to see a physiatrist for medications. But first need to get insurance. But most of them do not cover ADHD medications or doctor visit.

A private doctor without insurance is too expensive. Could you please advise me with an insurance plan/company which covers ADHD treatment.

Or do anyone know an affordable doctor so I can go and prescribe my medication.

Thank you in advance

First apply for state insurance and/or MarketPlace insurance. Find a PCP that accepts your insurance. They will prescribe you the medication once they receive and review your previous medical records. Research your local NAMI to obtain info on local support groups, CBT, individual counseling for free or a sliding scale fee.

You say LA. Are you meaning Louisiana or Los Angeles?

I live in Louisiana where at first the law was that, but now some GP will prescribe it. The bad the thing is depending on medication, age and insurance, they won't cover if you are over the age of 18, which is complete BS 😡
