Do you use Alexa, Siri, or Google Home?

I have seen several people mention they use a digital personal assistant -- Amazon's Alexa, Apple's Siri, or Google Home -- as one of the ways they support their executive function. They use it to update their calendars, set reminders, send emails or messages to themselves, look up information and other skills or assistance.

I am preparing an ADHD Weekly article on using these devices as another way of supporting executive function. Do you use one? Do you find it helpful for ADHD symptoms? If you comment below and describe how it is helpful for you, I'll use it as part of the article! Or, if you'd like to talk with me directly, message me through Health Unlocked's message system.

You can check out my profile, I am the editor of ADHD Weekly and a member of the CHADD staff.

Thank you!

Karen

I use Alexa, but she doesn't integrate with my Google keep list, which is what I use to manage everything from grocery lists ... shared with family, daily to dos, work to dos and life goals. As soon as Google devices integrate with keep list again (it used to) I'll start using it to v manage the list and my calendar.

I use Alexa as well. I set alarms and reminders constantly because I have no sense of time. I also love to use it to put on background music, I find it more motivating and less distracting than my personal alternative (youtube music).

I often use Siri to help me look up information. When typing messages I will often forget how to spell something, so I touch the microphone key and it types the word for me. I especially do this when my brain freezes up when I know how it’s spelled. It helps me move on faster.
