If you were formally diagnosed before, there is no reason you should be diagnosed again nor should it become invalid. ADD isn’t something you grow out of. I was diagnosed in fourth grade and I’m 19 now. I never sought accommodation programs as my philosophy is that ADD lives with me, not the other way around and I didn’t want it to become an excuse for forgetting to do something or for not making the best decisions. But there are ADD/ADHD coaches out there that will be able to help. What kind of help are you seeking exactly?
You really don't grow out of ADHD, but you learn coping strategies and mechanisms for dealing with it. I was diagnosed in grade school and have been able to have some success in my life. It's definitely a factor in your life, but not an excuse to continually make bad decisions and be impulsive in every area. Don't use it as a crutch and think that meds is automatically the right solution.
Once your diagnosed your diagnosed. I was also diagnosed as a kid. I would start by talking to your primary doctor (if you don’t have one then I would suggest getting one, it’s much easier if you don’t have to explain your whole situation every time).
I would also suggest (if you haven’t already) watching a YouTube channel called ‘How to ADHD’. She gives awesome advice and explains it all in easy to understand ways, plus her videos tend to be short and sweet, easy for a short attention span to follow.
