Hi all, i recently got diagnosed with depression, which in turn brought up that i have severe ADD, always had it and personally always known it. I just don’t think people understand how much it actually effects day to day life.
Just after someone to vent to tbh.....i hate it, hate been so snappy/emotional/angry/say things at the wrong times etc 💣

Hi there, welcome to the community. I have Inattentive ADHD and was not diagnosed until my mid twenties. I got diagnosed until my mid twenties because of being unaware of Inattentive ADHD, all through out my life I had only heard of the hyperactive subtype of ADHD, and Inattentive ADHD is very different from hyperactive ADHD (There is also a combination of the two known as combined type ADHD). Life was very hard, but there is hope. Supplements and small dose stimulant medication have dramatically changed my life for the better. I am finishing up grad school and will be going on to obtain my PhD. as a clinical psychologist in order to really help out the ADHD community. I'm not sure what type of ADHD you have, but after studying researching ADHD for about 4 years now, I have come to learn that there are major neurotransmitters in the brain that cause the common issues with ADHD, like the ones you mentioned, episodes of depression, impulsion, saying things at the wrong time, being disorganized etc.
A strategy plan when it comes to supplements and ADHD, should include aiming to help the brain with the specific neurotransmitters that give us the most trouble. The following neurotransmitters should be addressed.
Dopamine : A neurotransmitter in the brain that affects your levels of concentration, motivation, pleasure senses, and sense of pain.
Norepinephrine : A neurotransmitter and stress hormone that deals with attentiveness, emotions, impulse control, planning ahead, sleep, and interpreting actions of others.
Serotonin : A neurotransmitter that deals with mood regulation, sleep, nervousness, empathy, appetite, digestion, and sexual urges.
Acetylcholine : A neurotransmitter that deals with muscle contraction, pain responses, mood regulation, REM sleep, and coordination.
if you click my profile pic, it will take you to my profile, where in my bio you'll see theres a link of a google doc I made of every supplement I take that includes ones specifically to help those low neurotransmitters I mentioned above. It mentions what grocery stores and online stores (Amazon has all of these supplements a lot cheaper than markets like Sprouts and Whole Foods) sell these supplements, and some information about each of the supplements and how they help out people with ADHD, in case you're interested.
