Convulsants, you name it I’ve probably tried it and nothing except the NRI antidepressant reboxetine worked but stopped working after a year. I’ve recently been diagnosed with severe ADHD too and was taking a massive dose of concerta 108mg every day which worked brilliantly if I took it with caffeine for a year then it suddenly stopped! I’ve switched to vyvanse and because of my ‘unique’ brain chemistry as my ADHD specialist calls it? I started on a high dose on Monday with 50 mg and went up to 70 within 2 day’s . It works great but only for 4 hours and I need it to work longer as it’s primarily to prevent desperate depression. I’m finding the crash unbearable and have been prescribed 25 mg quetiapine to help and to sleep but then I find the next day the quetiapine stops the vyvanse working ? Yesterday I felt a bit euphoric as I used to do on concerta at first . Today I took 70 mg with a protein shake and I’m just in a brain fog? Surly I don’t need caffeine to make vyvanse work as it takes 2 hours to work? I’m a recovering addict of 20 years and took speed every day for 20 years and that worked every day though I do have 1 Med day off a week with prescribed stimulants. Any advice why vyvanse is already stopped working on its 4 th day ? I’m not bothered so much about ADHD I just don’t want debilitating depression back . Do all stimulants Just stop working, I’m in the Uk and can only get Ritalin, concerta or elvanse. I’ve probably got faulty genes as my 3 kids all have disorders, my son has autism. Any advice welcome thanks ps since this post 70 mg of elvanse is working for about 4.5 hours and not getting a crash my adhd specialist has mixed it with atomoxetatine only just started that yesterday so taking them together has anyone else tried this combination for adhd and depression? I’m no longer taking a day off meds
