Looking for advice on a service or maybe a product that I can offer to the ADD community. I was trying to offer Nutritional Coaching and Gardening for Adults and Children with ADD/ADHD, but it didn't go anywhere. Now I am trying to figure out something I can make a living at/ start a business for children and adults with ADD/ADHD. Please write me with your ideas and thoughts~

Being a coach, a lot of us get side tracked or at least I know I get side tracked when it comes to accomplishing goals, how to find the right job that fits us and keep it

Do you have any advice concerning what I asked about?

I'd like to first address the only thing you've given us to go on about your interests or talents: your previous service.

It seems to me that if you are interested in nutritional coaching and gardening, it shouldn't be limited to people with ADHD, although that's a good way to specialize and could eventually become your only focus.

For example, my MD has a clinic for any kind of mental health counseling and treatment. He has an interest in, and therefore the clinic specializes in ADHD, but that's not the only thing that he and the other clinicians there handle. They've got varying medical specialities, but all have an interest in ADHD.

That gives them an advantage over psychiatrists, nurse practioners, master social workers, and psychologists who deal with everything else, but have no real interest in how ADHD impacts those things.

So if you can really help people with nutritional issues (gardening sounds like a great adjunct to that for those interested in it), then widen your advertising to the general public, but mention the special focus on ADHD, and do some targeted ads to clinicians, ADHD patients, and their family members.

For example, homeschoolers are always looking for things to augment their curriculum.

So maybe you could develop a school plan that helped ADHD homeschooled kids, which helped them learn nutrition, meal scheduling, and incorporated gardening or indoor herbs etc. Because parents of kids might be interested in something to help their kids develop interest in nutrition, which is often out of sorts for people on certain ADHD meds. (It might be especially helpful for parents with ADHD themselves.)

At the very least, you might try starting with a blog. After all, your passion and interest in the subject should be made evident to everyone.

Eventually sell a small booklet at a nominal price that contains the best info from your blog plus some extra content. Move up to a larger workbook, maybe a homeschool curricula, eventually a small book and then a larger book. It's all about branding: local lectures, Pinterest infograms, Youtube tutorials, tidbits on Instagram that lead to your latest content, then books and tie-in products... these are all things you could use.

So to now answer your actual question ...you want to market a product or service, but you don't know what. You had a service, but you've given up on it.

People don't just start a business based on asking "got any ideas?". You need to have an interest, a passion. (Most people, If they have a good random idea, are more likely to use it, not share it.)

However, I'm sure people will willingly suggest things if they know what you're good at. So give us something to work with (no pun intended) and we might be able to give you some more ideas.

I can suggest this ... look up those interest and attitude tests they give young people and books about finding a new career. Think about the things these tell you about what you're interested in, things you already know, and things you've always wanted to do.

Make a list of the most promising or interesting ideas. What's good as a primary service/product? What might be a good sideline? What might be combined or piggy-backed? What sounds like it might bore you after a very short while? What makes you want to jump right in with both feet?

Anyway, this is just some brainstorming that I hope is helpful.
