I'm 57 and my doctor prescribed Vyvanse for a neurological condition-not ADD. I have also struggled with severe depression my whole life. I've been on antidepressants for 45 years. I've been feeling pretty good depression-wise for a long time tho. Anyway, I started taking Vyvanse and I realize how I have been slogging around, low energy, low level depressed, unfocused, procrastinating, my whole life. I feel good on Vyvanse. Really good. Normal. This is how normal people feel! I'm floored by this. Doc thinks I was misdiagnosed for 45 friggin years. And we just stumbled upon this by chance. Wow.

It happens. Keep in mind, though, you may get teased for contrasting ‘ADHD’ with ‘neurological disorder’, since it is one. (*chuckle*)
Glad you've found something that really helps you: that's all that truly matters.
Hi there. I was also misdiagnosed for 10 years and the Vyvanse helps me a lot, w/disorganization. moods, impulsivity, and focus and concentration. My eyes get tired easily. I am 61, but look much younger. Mindfulness helps, but walking or working out is key for me!
Samething happened with me; felt like i was reborn. It has opened a whole new world of possibilities for me.
Yep. I’ve been misdiagnosed as with Bipolar, Borderline Personality Disorder and 8 months ago with ADHD. I do not know how I managed for so many turbulent years. I am the most stable now than I have been in decades. I take Concerta.
Late in life diagnosis... my story too... many years on multiple different antidepressants... never could figure out why they didn’t work all the time... DUH!
